How to Sell Shares

Exit your position when you're ready. Learn about the secondary market, buyback options, and how to realise your returns.

Overview

Selling your fractional property shares lets you realise capital gains and free up capital. allocatte offers a secondary market where other investors can buy your shares, and in some cases a buyback option where we repurchase shares. Liquidity depends on demand — popular properties tend to sell faster.

Exit Options

Secondary Market

List your shares for sale. Other investors can browse and purchase. Price set by you or market.

Buyback Program

For select properties, allocatte may offer to buy back shares at a stated price. Subject to terms.

Hold to Maturity

Some properties have an end date or exit event. You can hold until then and receive your share of proceeds when the property is sold or refinanced.

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Open Your Portfolio

Go to Portfolio and select the property whose shares you want to sell. Check the current market value and any applicable fees.

2

Select Sell Option

Click Sell or List for Sale. You can choose to sell all or part of your shares. Enter the number of shares and your asking price (or accept market price).

If buyback is available, you'll see it as an alternative option with a fixed price.

3

Review & Confirm

Review the sale details, fees, and net proceeds. Confirm the sale. For secondary market listings, your shares go live and await a buyer.

4

Receive Proceeds

Once the sale completes, proceeds are credited to your wallet. You can withdraw to your bank account or reinvest in new properties.

💡 Tips

  • • Selling may take time if there are few buyers — liquidity varies by property
  • • Consider capital gains tax implications in your jurisdiction
  • • Listing at or near market price can speed up sale
  • • Check lock-up periods — some properties restrict sales for a period after purchase
